- Excerpts from DB Meeting on Apr 8, 2023:
- A part-time local specific evangelism role is currently available, requiring no less than 10 hours of work per week to coordinate and train for outreach efforts to new immigrants from Hong Kong.
- The preliminary rental policy of the church for 2023 was adopted. Some special cases still require further clarification.
- A church renovation committee will be organized under the general business manager to decide which renovating projects should be done for different departments in an efficient and strategic way.
- The department chairperson, with the staff’s consultation and the deacon board’s endorsement, must approve of the lending of the church’s equipment and utensils for ministry purpose.
- In the 2023 budget, an additional $500 has been set aside for the hospitality and caring of the Mandarin congregation, and $1800 is budgeted for nine breakfasts beginning April 16th to promote more participation in Cantonese Sunday School, Mandarin worship and English worship and intergenerational and inter congregational fellowship.
- Suggestions were made for new members of different Staff Review Groups for pastoral and administrative staff to gather in June for staff evaluation.
- The bylaws committee will design a plan to be presented in the 2023 Annual General Meeting for adjustments to adhere to the Societies Amendment Act of the government and the church’s privacy regulations.

- Don Dyck, English adult ministry pastor, has joined our pastoral team on 4/15. He will work not less than 10 hours per week. Email
- 3/22-4/24 Pastor Miller will take a no pay leave for his mission trip. Pastor Esmond will take his no pay leave in April

- 4/23(Sun. 2-3pm) Cantonese Caring Seminar about crisis management led by Pastor Kenneth Lo, everyone is welcome to take part to learn how to handle a potential crisis that may affect themselves or someone they care about.
- 5/14(Sun. 8:30am & 11:30am) Cantonese Mother’s Day Gospel Sunday Service with testimonies of our brothers. Please pray for your non-believer Cantonese speaking family members and friends especially your parents and invite them to join.
